Data Ingestion Setup
The Deno Portal allows users to manage data ingestion from edge devices as well as API integrations.
Project (Edge)
The Deno Gateway is the heart of the intelligent edge topology, wirelessly connecting Deno Sensors and generating equipment such as meters, inverters, trackers, storage, MET, etc. The Deno Gateway supports Modbus (TCP and RTU), OPC-UA, and MQTT protocols for data ingestion. Each protocol has a configuration page within the Deno Portal allowing users to specify what data they would like to acquire. Denowatts maintains an expansive library of templates (drivers) for commonly used equipment, while also allowing users to build custom maps.

- RS485 wiring to site equipment: RS485 Adapter
In the portal, open a site’s Channel Config page. Channels are grouped under GATEWAY, DENO, MODBUS, MODEM, and OPC. Modbus device templates are managed under Template in Settings by Admin users.
Cloud
Denowatts has a configurable API page for creating data streams from non-edge channels, such as remote weather and third-party monitoring.
Modem
Denowatts provides Teltonika modem connectivity and management support, including VPN access through its RMS service.
