Events

Events are database documents that record Start/End timestamps, a Type, descriptions, and various metadata and files, allowing users to memorialize periods of time that carry a noteworthy condition or action.

Event Types

  • Alarms. Denowatts maintain Global Alarms based on Channel Prefix. Alarm targets (categories) include Channel Connection Status, Channel Metric, or Site Metric, with configurable severity, thresholds, conditions, and suppression.
  • Site Performance Notes, such as user-entered activity that impacts performance.
  • Maintenance Events, including Deno hardware installation.
  • Documentation files, such as Energy Model source files, Site Plans, and Network Maps.
  • Test Reports, such as Capacity and Energy Tests.

In the Portal

Events are shown on the Event page, where they can be filtered by kind: Alarms, Tickets, Tasks, Notes, and Other events. Use New Event to create one. In the portal, the Event Types above are recorded with these categories and kinds:

  • Alarms: severities are Critical, High, and Routine.
  • Site Performance Notes: Notes.
  • Maintenance Events: Maintenance.
  • Test Reports: Test.
  • Documentation files: stored in the Denobox.
  • Also available: Ticket (New, In Progress, Awaiting Customer, Closed), Admin, Data Curation, Malfunction, Site Diagnostics, and Lessons Learned.
